Course Description

Students get a robust introduction to Python, a popular language that is widely used in the emerging fields of data sciences, machine learning and artificial intelligence. In this hands-on, project-based class, students will learn fundamental programming principles like variables, loops, conditionals, arrays, functions and more in Python. The course is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in Python enabling them to build more complex coding projects in subsequent courses. This course is intended for high-school students with no or minimal structured experience in learning a real-world, text-based programming language. This is an interactive, virtual, LIVE class taught by an instructor in real-time (not recorded videos). It is a small group class of 6-8 students with ample opportunity for individual attention and group work. It’s an engaging, effective and convenient way to learn. Students will need a laptop less than 5 years old with a good internet connection.
