Course Description

YOU MUST ENROLL AND PAY DIRECTLY THROUGH CODEWIZARDS. The enrollment for this course can be found at and then choose Forest Hills School District for school. Students learn the fundamentals of programming using Python, a beginner friendly programming language. In this hands-on class, students build fun, engaging projects while mastering fundamental programming principles like variables, loops, conditionals, arrays, functions and more. This course is intended for middle-school students with no or minimal experience in learning programming. It is also ideal for students who have experience with block based programming like Scratch, and want to level up to text-based programming. This is an interactive, virtual, LIVE class taught by an instructor in real-time (not recorded videos). It is a small group class of 6-8 students with ample opportunity for individual attention and group work. It’s an engaging, effective and convenient way to learn. Students will need a laptop less than 5 years old with a good internet connection.
