Portrait Drawing
There are still openings remaining at this time. Course DescriptionLearn how to draw a portrait from a photo reference of your choice. In this class, students will learn how to draw the structure and rhythms of the human head. Demonstrations will be given in each class on the structure of the head, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. In addition, there will be a strong emphasis on values, shapes, and edges. Students will be working in the medium of soft and hard charcoal.NotesMaterial list: Medium to large size drawing board. Vine Charcoal: medium, hard, and soft. Kneaded eraser, chamois cloth, and blending stumps. Drawing paper, charcoal paper - 500 series is the highest quality (can be ordered from Dick Black art store or purchased at Service Reproduction downtown Grand Rapids) or Strathmore drawing paper (medium size works well.) *You may purchase materials at, Hobby lobby, Michaels, T-square or service reproduction.
