Course Description

This class is for those who would like to delve into oils for the first time, or those who would like to gain additional experience working with this wonderful medium. The basics will be presented, along with the consideration of composition and color mixing. Supply list given upon registration.


Material list: 9"x12" or 11"x14" Canvas panels (Can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Michaels art stores.) Oil paints: 6 colors plus white. Cadmium Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Red, Alizarin Crimson, French Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean, Blue, Titanium White. Paint brushes - various sizes, pallette knife, paper towels, charcoal for drawing, odorless turpentine, mixing board or palette paper for mixing paint, medium size palette (students may use palette paper, medium size works best.) *You may purchase supplies at Hobby Lobby, Michaels or Service Reproduction.
