Course Description

In this workshop, students will learn how to draw and complete a portrait using the basic principles of structure of the head and facial features. Students are asked to bring a photo of their choice. A supply list will be provided at the time of registration.

Notes

Material list: 9"x12" or 11"x14" Canvas panels (Can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Michaels art stores.) Oil paints: 6 colors plus white. Cadmium Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Red, Alizarin Crimson, French Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean, Blue, Titanium White. Paint brushes - various sizes, pallette knife, paper towels, charcoal for drawing, odorless turpentine, mixing board or palette paper for mixing paint, medium size palette (students may use palette paper, medium size works best.) *You may purchase supplies at Hobby Lobby, Michaels or Service Reproduction.
