Course Description

In this workshop, students will paint a landscape using a photograph of their choosing. Students will learn about color, temperature, and composition to complete a landscape from start to finish. A supply list will be provided to students at the time of registration.


Material list: 9"x12" or 11"x14" Canvas panels (Can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Michaels art stores.) Oil paints: 6 colors plus white. Cadmium Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Red, Alizarin Crimson, French Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean, Blue, Titanium White. Paint brushes - various sizes, pallette knife, paper towels, charcoal for drawing, odorless turpentine, mixing board or palette paper for mixing paint, medium size palette (students may use palette paper, medium size works best.) *You may purchase supplies at Hobby Lobby, Michaels or Service Reproduction.
