Course Description

This is an introduction to both the mechanics and artistry of digital photography. Beginning with an overview of how a digital camera works, the class progresses into interactive discussions and practice of the basic principles of composition and lighting. You will develop an enthusiasm for the art of photography and an understanding of your innate capability. Students should bring a digital single lens reflex camera (DSLR) and the camera's operating manual. This class will include homework assignments.
