Course Description

This camp is part cooking and part science lab work. Come and learn the chemistry behind some of your favorite snacks! Students create their own cake mix using just enough of the right substances that react to create a fluffy cake. This may be the only camp where chewing gum is allowed, if it is made in the lab. A root beer float is much more fun to eat/drink when you make the ice cream and the root beer yourself! Students also get a chance to spend a little time on math activities with a cooking theme. Chemistry is all around the kitchen, and it's fun for everyone!
